Part 2: How To Be Your Best Despite The Stress
Wednesday Sep 09, 2020
Wednesday Sep 09, 2020
HEY LEADING LADIES! Today we continue our conversation about stress, and address how to actively view it and use it as fuel. Using stress as fuel doesn't just happen. It requires you to interact with stress differently, and collaborating with your body's response to it. Stress is real, but so is our ability to thrive in partnership with it. Take a listen as I share insights about...
- Using stress to take action.
- How our physiological stress response is a benefit.
- How stress alerts us physically, behaviorally, emotionally, and mentally to our "maintenance" needs.
- Strategies to keep our bodies in a state of wellness as we work, live, and thrive through stress.
Stress is not the enemy, but our reaction to it can be. If you'd like to learn more about stress and how it can help you, check out the resources section below.

Part 1: Be Your Best Despite The Stress
Wednesday Sep 02, 2020
Wednesday Sep 02, 2020
Hello Powerful Women!
WELCOME TO SEASON 2! Today we dip our toes into a conversation about stress and how it can fuel us to thrive instead of just surviving. This year, survival has been a literal pursuit as we face a pandemic and the real threat of racial tension, hateful acts of violence, and calls for systemic change. On the other side of these real mental, emotional, and physical threats of 2020, there are still opportunities for us to step more fully into who we are, who we want to be, and the process of becoming HER (Healthy-Empowered-Resilient). The journey to our becoming may not be easy, but with a healthy relationship with stress, we can be prepared for whatever challenges and changes come our way.

Tuesday May 26, 2020
THIS IS THE FINAL EPISODE OF SEASON 1. SEASON 2 will roll out in September 2020, so don't get relaxed, because we are resting and resetting, NOT STOPPING. I can't believe that The Me Myself and HER Podcast has completed the first season. I hope that each powerful woman that has listened, was blessed, empowered, inspired, and better equipped on HER journey in some way. The next season will be even more powerful and purposeful, as I continue to create and share from my lens as a Mental Fitness Coach, licensed clinical counselor, and fellow powerful woman on a mission to lead and succeed more effectively in life, career, and relationships.
THIS EPISODE: Our emotional trash, when left unattended, can start to stink up our minds and relationships. It's easy to leave old emotional bins tucked away in the basements of our hearts, only to find that they are leaking and infecting other areas of our lives. What can you do after you recognize the "Stench Of Emotional Trash?" YOU DUMP IT. This conversation discusses how to recognize, sort through and start the process of dumping the trash, that is no longer serving your life, career or relationships.

Tuesday May 19, 2020
Tuesday May 19, 2020
Our emotions are meant to help and not hurt us. They are the internal compass that guides us to health and healing if we understand their purpose. So what happens when are emotions are triggered, and sit within us idle and are not acknowledged, healed or managed effectively? They get packed up in the mental and emotional bins of our minds, bodies and spirits and start to decay. That decay is the stench of unresolved emotions that begin to weigh us down and stink up our lives. Listen in as I discuss how I am working to clean out some of my own bins that recently got opened.

In honor of the life of Ahmaud Arbery, and in acknowledgement of his mother's pain, this conversation spotlights how grief and loss can manifest psychologically, socially, and physically. Grief and loss impacts us as women on many levels, but today, a start to the conversation begins. The loss of a child is a pain like no other. Mothers who have suffered the loss of a child, often struggle more intensely on Mother's Day. There are many layers to our grief, but this segment highlights areas of healing and hope, no matter the grief and loss journey that you are on.
